Let Me Get a Witness

‘Let me get a witness’ is the constant cry of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Acts 10:42 says “And He commanded us to preach to the people.” – Let me get a witness, let somebody go to tell that I have risen; that the judge of the living and the dead is alive so that they may receive forgiveness of sins through his name.

John 20:17-18.  You know Mary Magdalene was the first person to see Jesus after resurrection and Jesus forbade her from touching or embracing him but to “go and tell others that I ascend to my father …” And Mary went and bore witness.  She said Vs. 18 “I have seen the Lord.”  Jesus is saying, “Let me get a witness.”

John 20:21 says, “ … so I send you.” – Let me get a witness

John 21:15-17 “Simon … do you love me; feed my sheep.” – let me get a witness.

Jesus cries, let me get a witness.  Jesus says, “Go yea into the world and propagate the gospel”

John 11:25, witness that Jesus is the resurrection and the life.  That He is alive in you life, that you’ve tried him and he pays, that there is power in his blood that was shed on Calvary.

Isaiah 53:1-end.  He suffered and bled for you and I.  The least we can do is bear him witness.

If you truly appreciate his death and resurrection, the way to pay him back is to bear him witness.

Acts 1:8 – when you receive power, you will be witnesses all over the world.  Are you happy in Jesus?  Go tell it.

Question:  What does Easter commemorate?

Answer:  The resurrection of Christ.

If that’s so, we must tell it. I Cor. 9:16.  It is a must, Paul says.

Luke 7:18-22.  Jesus is concerned about the news.  He sent messages back to John.  See Vs. 22.

Reward.  Let me get a witness.  Bare me witness and I’ll come back to take you home.  I’ll be with you.  I’ll prepare a place for you in heaven.  John 16.

Tell them that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life etc.

End.  Rev. 19:1-7, we will get to sing hallelujah together in heaven.  Let Jesus get a witness.  God bless you.
